RK Rose+Krieger has expanded its successful RK Monoline MT linear unit range with a more compact size. The RK Monoline MT 60 opens up tight installation spaces while maintaining a high load capacity. This allows linear axes and multi-axis systems to be dimensioned more precisely.
Whereas the linear units in the RK Monoline MT series were previously limited to size 80, the RK Rose+Krieger modular system now also offers linear axes in size 60. This is suitable for all applications that require linear guides with more compact dimensions or where an RK Monoline MT 80 is oversized. The dynamic load limit of size 60 is 100 kg (1,000 N) in the axial direction; strokes of up to 5.5 meters are possible.
RK Monoline MT 60 offers proven performance advantages
Machine and plant manufacturers also benefit from the advantages of the linear unit series with its more compact design. The roller guide components feature an omega-shaped toothed belt drive. This means that the toothed belt does not run around, but is fixed on both sides to the end plate. The drive is located on the carriage and can be mounted on either side. This principle allows the axis to be equipped with several carriages. The linear axes of the RK Monoline MT series allow high travel speeds of up to 5 m/s with a maximum acceleration of 15 m/s². Thanks to their smooth running characteristics, they achieve a repeat accuracy of ±0.05 mm. They are easy to maintain as they can be lubricated centrally via the carriage.
RK multi-axis modular system gets more customization options
RK Rose+Krieger has designed the linear units in the RK Monoline MT series specifically for use in pick & place, palletizing, and loading and unloading processes. Thanks to grooves and centering holes, as well as system angles, system plates, and clamping strips from the RK multi-axis modular system, they can be quickly and easily assembled into multi-axis systems. With a fixed carriage and moving profile, they can be used as a cantilever or horizontal axis, for example in a handling portal. With the payload on the moving carriage, they function as a vertical axis or as a gantry drive with two vertical axes. The RK Monoline MT 60 has further increased the customization options of the RK multi-axis modular system.
RK Safelock holds loads where they are
All sizes of the RK Monoline MT can be equipped with the RK Safelock holding element, which operates independently of the motor brake, especially for vertical use. Spring elements are pressurized with compressed air; when this is switched off, the steel springs securely fix the axis in place. This prevents accidents during assembly, disassembly, and maintenance work caused by falling guide carriages. As a self-reinforcing system, the holding force of the system is also guaranteed on greased rails. The nominal holding force is 1,500 N, and the maximum holding force is 3,000 N.
