Loading and unloading, palletising, pick & place

The Place-Tec range for positioning with short cycle times, high cycle rates and high repeatability has been devided into two categories:

Rodless style linear technology

An example of a rodless style product: A pick & place system takes filled cans from a conveyor belt and loads them onto a pallet.

These products are classic linear units/linear guides and are offered in different designs. A carriage moves between two fixed end positions and positions a mass. The linear unit has a fixed installation and operating length. These linear units are also available with timing-belt drive or as guides without drive.
Rod style linear technology

An example of a rod style product: Headlight adjustment system: the guide profile moves, the carriage remains fixed to the Y-axis.

With these timing-belts or rack and pinion units, the drive is located on the carriage. This drive concept enables large stroke lengths. With Z-axes, the carriage often remains in a fixed position and the guide profile moves vertically. The need to allow sufficient space for this must be taken into account.
