Control Tec – Numerically controlled travel
Control-Tec products are characterised by their high positioning accuracy, uniform motion and high drive stiffness. They have likewise been divided into two categories:
An example of a rodless style product: A water jet cutter moves along the specified contour with great precision.
Rodless style linear technology
These products are classic linear units/linear guides and are offered in different designs. A carriage moves between two fixed end positions and positions a mass. The linear unit has a fixed installation and operating length.
An example of a rod style product: The mounting frame is positioned synchronously using several heavy duty cylinders.
Rod style linear technology
This is the term we use to classify products which are usually referred to as electric cylinders. A piston rod extends out of the cylinder during positioning. As a result, the installation dimension is fixed but the operating length varies.
