The ideal combination: RK Rose+Krieger assembly workstations and Mitsubishi Electric cobots

With its ergonomically designed assembly workstations that are tailored to specific requirements, RK Rose+Krieger supplies a trend-setting solution for efficient production of complex products in smaller quantities with high variability. Combined with collaborative robots and (semi) automated removal and loading devices from Mitsubishi Electric and linear material feeds from the RK Rose+Krieger range, they provide employees with relief from physically demanding or monotonous tasks and simultaneously ensure reliable processes and flawless manufacturing.

When carrying out assembly work at modern workstations, collaborative robots can hand material to the worker or set down finished parts in the designated places. They are also a practical option for line-controlled tasks or tasks for holding in position which a human cannot perform either as precisely, continuously or quickly and reliably as a machine. This way, even critical or dangerous processes, such as welding applications, can be automated using cobots and thus the risk to employees is eradicated or at least minimised.

Linear actuators extend the range of action

Additional linear modules from the RK Rose+Krieger range can be added to the six drive axles of the cobots to increase their range of motion: lifting columns, such as the Powerlift Z, are used to adjust the height of the cobots (Y axis), for instance, and linear units of any length from the RK MonoLine or RK DuoLine range move the cobot (additionally) on the X and Z axis. This way, you connect multiple workstations or storage spaces to each other.

New cooperation partner

When it comes to equipping assembly workstations with cobots or poka-yoke systems for reliable production processes, RK Rose+Krieger has recently teamed up with Mitsubishi Electric. The leading supplier of components and solutions supplies motors, controllers, robots and visualisation solutions for the digitalised assembly workstations. Mitsubishi Electric in turn refers its customers to RK Rose+Krieger when they are not looking for just individual components but rather complete assembly station solutions.
