Timing belt - linear units

The RK linear units with timing belt drive feature the following main characteristics:

  • High dynamics with speeds of maximal 5 m/s
  • Continuous operation with high running performance ( e.g. handling automation)
  • Inversion operation with high reproducibility and short cycle times.

Profile linear unit PLZ-II
When the PLZ-guide profiles were developed, special attention was given to the functionality. The extruded aluminium profile has integrated holding measures for the guide shaft, especially slots for fixing the clamping brackets and proximity switches, as well as a large opening for leading through a wide timing belt.

Profile linear unit PLZ-i-II
Upper through and under through of the timing belt run inside the guide profile. This concept is especially advantageous for environments where the drive must not have any influence (e.g. avoiding of rubbings caused by the timing belt in clean rooms).

Profile linear unit SQZ-II
The principle design of the profile linear unit SQZ-II is equal to the PLZ-II. To ensure compatibility and exchangeability of the systems the guide elements were matched to each other according to their dimensions and their installation height.

Profile linear unit SQZ-II MT
The basis of the profile linear unit SQ-II MT is a BLOCAN® aluminium profile and an especially developed belt drive which enables strokes maximal 18 m. The drive is directly fed via the guide element. The SQ-II MT is often applied for jobs, where the guide element rests and the profile moves.

Profile linear unit LMZ
The BLOCAN®-Profile F-100x100 is used as guide element. This profile has a slot-design that enables the installation of accessories and the fixation of the linear unit.  The 50 mm wide timing belt is for travelling and positioning of heavy loads at a speed of maximal 5 m/s.

RK DuoLine Z
The whole drive is encapsulated in the guide profile. Two versions are available. The low-cost roller guide and the heavy duty track rail guide

MultiLine II
The 60 mm wide timing belt enables the axial application of high forces.  The slots in the profile provide for easy fixation of the linear unit as well as the installation of accessories.
