The integration of components in systems makes cost-effective manufacture of machines and plant necessary. The purpose of using components is also to improve the technical availability of complete systems. It is at this point where product development in the LZ8 electric cylinder series from Rose+Krieger starts.
Drive motors are also available for the new PL (PowerLine) and FL (FastLine) series but the customer need not fall back upon them. The manufacturer has specified that it will mechanically adapt motors to customer requirements. This is a benefit to machine manufacturers who deliberately use certain makes of control and drive systems since motor services and spare parts do not require adaptation.
The Power Line cylinder’s unique selling point is its high tensile/compressive force of up to 10,000 Newtons. The Fast Line cylinder achieves speeds of up to 270 millimetres per second offering a convincing alternative to pneumatic cylinders in partial adjustment range- Not least because of their good energy efficiency power only needs to be supplied to electrical cylinders whilst they are in motion.
The stroke length can be configured to the job at hand up to a maximum of 1,000 millimetres. The IP 54 protection rating, a duty cycle of up to 100% and their extensive range of accessories, including magnetic switches, trunnions and fork heads make the LZ electrical cylinders great all-round, industrial-strength actuators.
