G-Profiles – Elegant and functional

If a construction profile does not look like a construction profile, a closer look will be worthwhile. The new G-series of profiles, G stands for closed slot in German, has been developed for clean room applications, for the areas of sanitary and medical technology, for applications in the field of pharmacy industry and to meet modern demands in the media sector.

The profiles do not show their rigid structure and their fixing slots, which can be opened if necessary.

The manufacturer RK Rose+Krieger GmbH explained that market demands from very different areas induced the development of the G-profiles. There are, for instance, the feet of LCD- and plasma monitors which emphasize their technical elegance.

The maximal edge radius of the G-profiles of one millimetre is the precondition for its application in clean room technologies.

Smooth profile surfaces are an essential condition for easy cleaning according to hygienic aspects and so the G-profile can be attractive for medical applications.

The new G-profiles have the same cross sections of 40 x 40 and 40 x 80 mm as the typical construction profiles of the F-series. Fixing slots, screw holes and the ribs, increasing the moment of resistance, can be seen very well. The fixing slots, however, are closed which gives the impression of an anodized rectangular tube section. On positions, where the fixing slot is intended to be used, the slot has to be uncovered using a peening tool. In this way, a slot stone can be inserted and can be used as it were a shiftable drill-hole. There are useful accessories available, such as 2- and 3-part butt hinges, lift-off hinges, caps, as well as angle brackets for supporting the profile joints, and they are typically used at the fixing slot. The accessories are RAL 9006 coloured and assort very well with the anodized surfaces of the profile structures.
