Professional Connections

Construction profiles made of aluminium are available in various dimensions and geometries. There is a solution available for nearly every application.  There are various assembly principles as well. The manufacturers' philosophies reach from less progressive "perforation" of the profile ends and seemingly tedious preparation to sophisticated system solutions.  When it eventually concerns applications in the field of machine construction, it becomes a serious matter. Theoretic reasoning will not apply anymore. Evidence must be supplied.

The development of hidden bracket and flange bracket has just been completed by adding the "pressure connector" to the BLOCAN-heavy duty profiles.

Aluminium profiles accomplish multiple tasks. In addition to the appreciated longitudinal keyways, which serve in attaching the fixing elements and coverings, the ingenious geometries mainly make the aluminium material an alternative construction material.  Ribs that increase the moments of resistance under low specific weight represent the basis philosophy of the successful construction profiles.

This image is compromised by the partly not so innovative connecti-on technology. It is drilled, milled, notched and thread cut. Nearly each machining method is used.

In short: The thoroughly designed structure of the profile is more or less damaged directly at the connection positions.

This counter-productive connection technology has to face hidden brackets, flange brackets and just recently the pressure connector. The profiles are cut to length and assembled without any processing. The 30-years of competence in connection technologies that do not require any additional processing was always further developed and is more up-to-date than ever. Increasing personnel cost and high ancillary wage costs additionally inspire the connection technology without machining. No delay times on drilling or milling machines. No burring or no creating of scrap anymore.

Cost in the design department will be reduced, too. This is why only a cutting list will be necessary in addition to the assembly drawing. Cost intensive part drawings are eliminated without substitution.

Until now, in the field of machine construction, there were restrictions for aluminium profiles.  The high loads were a problem for the connections.  The new pressure connector in connections with heavy duty profiles closes this gap seamlessly.  Permissible tension forces of 25,000 Newton offer enough dynamic reserves. In addition, the hollow arch of the profile surfaces provides for the relevant prestress.

RK Rose+Krieger GmbH has considerable experience in connection technologies without machining. More than 110 profiles are available in different sizes and forms for application in practise.
The pressure connector is also visualised and can be seen on the Internet as an animated video at www.Druckverbinder.de.
