Industrial business management assistants

Industrial business management assistants are employed for planning, execution and control of varying commercial tasks. The use of complex EDP-systems is mandatory. The ideal basic profession for further specialisation in sales, purchase, controlling and for a subsequent university study.

business economist

The in-service training course in business administration (Academy of Business and Administration) provides a sound knowledge of business administration, economics, law and interdisciplinary methods in a form similar to that of a university course. On the basis of a higher education entrance qualification, the prospective business economist will be trained to become an industrial clerk in 18 months and a business economist in a further 18 months (Graduate in Business Administration).

Draftsmen/draftswomen

Draftsmen/draftswomen carry out their work in the area of design. Using sketches, draft versions and designs provided by designers, they create production documents and drawings in accordance with international standards using a CAD (Computer Aided Design) workstation and largely on an independent basis.

Industrial mechanic

Industrial mechanics specialised in the fields of machine and system technology install and repair machines and production systems. Maintenance and repair of power engines, driven machines, machine tools and special machines and their chaining together to systems are also included in the working range. Different production methods and handling of various materials makes it an interesting and diverse job.  Even in the future!

Metal cutting mechanic

Metal cutting mechanics, work on cutting machines such as milling or drilling machines and lathes.  Work and moving processes are planned and controlled using manufacturing specifications. CNC-technology and CAD/CAM-applications are used increasingly and require skilled programming of the production processes.

Metal dresser

Metal dressers are employed for machining and processing of sheets, pipes and profiles. This includes sawing, cutting of several different materials and shapes. The metal dresser provides correct shapes of parts using machine tools. A sense for materials and their behaviour when they are being formed feature the skills of this profession.
